Sarah Elizabeth Luttrell

Died: Feb. 1, 2013

Sarah Elizabeth Luttrell, 89, of Grandview Avenue, Greeneville, passed away Friday at Laughlin HealthCare Center.

Mrs. Luttrell was a homemaker and the widow of T.O. Luttrell Jr., her loving husband of 66 years.

She was a member of First Church of God.

She accepted Christ at a very young age. He had been her strength constantly and was a personal friend.

Mrs. Luttrell had been a worker in her church for many years, beginning as the Cradle Roll director and holding many different positions. For many years, she taught the ladies' Sunshine Class, which was a great joy and blessing to her.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law: Tommy Luttrell, Jerry and Jennifer Luttrell, Ronnie and Jeannie Luttrell, and Steve and Linda Luttrell, all of Greeneville; grandsons: Matthew Luttrell and Aubrey Lee; granddaughters: Annie Luttrell and Jessica Bragg; great-granddaughter: Carlie Lee; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Jim and Wendy Luttrell of Georgia, Pete Luttrell, Louise Parman, Joyce McCracken, and Imogene Luttrell; and several special cousins.

She was the daughter of the late Frank and Lillie Jane Conduff Bowers and was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeremy Grant Luttrell; one sister, Emma Dean Vaughn; a brother, Fox Bowers; and a nephew, Gene Vaughn.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. today at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 7 p.m. in the chapel. The Rev. Darrell Sovine and Pastor Gerald Rudd will officiate.

Family and friends will meet at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home to go in procession to Andrew Johnson National Cemetery for a 10 a.m. committal service.

Pallbearers will be Arthur Ricker Jr., Lynn Boswell, Ronnie Clark, Eddie Humphreys, Lanny Parman, Dan Luttrell and Phil Waddell.

Honorary pallbearers will be her special, loving friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund of First Church of God, or the Locust Springs Christian Retreat Center, 200 Bailey Lane, Greeneville, TN 37745.

Condolences may be sent to the Luttrell family at http://www.kiserrosehillfuneralhome.com.
