Died: Feb. 7, 2013

Selma Penley, 66, of Guy Brown Road, Chuckey, the South Central community, died Thursday at her home.

Mrs. Penley retired from Magnavox.

She attended Cassi Full Gospel Church as long as her health permitted.

Survivors include a son: Dallas Penley; a daughter-in-law: Ronda Penley; granddaughter: Amanda Parker and husband, Jason; stepgreat-grandson: Junior Parker; two brothers: Buddy Rogers and Glen Rogers; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Patricia and Donnie Norton and Eva and Johnny Brown; a special aunt and caregiver: Janie Hayes; a brother-in-law: Clifford Shelton; sisters-in-law: Fannie Rogers, Bonnie Hensley, Mae Hampton and Geraldine Doolittle; several nieces and nephews; and special friends: Ina Sentell, Lowell and Sherry Bible, Phillis Geirouard, and Patricia Gentry.

She was the daughter of the late Troy and Mildred Holt Rogers and was preceded in death by her husband: Robert "Dickey" Penley; a son: Douglas Penley; brothers: Cecil and James Rogers; and sisters: Brenda Rogers, Ora May Rogers, Jean Guthry, and Sue Shelton.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. today at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 8 p.m. in the chapel. The Rev. Amos Penley will officiate.

Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home to go in procession to Liberty Cemetery for an 11 a.m. committal service.

Pallbearers will be Charles Baines, Steven Painter, Virgil Dunbar, Nolan Tinker, William Dunbar, and Randy Dunbar.
