David "Frank" Coffie, age 77, of Chuckey, passed away Jan 31.
He spent the later part of his life in Springfield with his daughter, Janie.
Mr. Coffie was a former employee of Powell's Construction, Klopman Mills, and helped with farming.
He was an avid Tennessee Vols fan.
He loved the outdoors, especially fishing.
Mr. Coffie loved spending time with family and friends and helped care for his mother for many years.
Survivors include two daughters: Janie Isom and husband, Bobby, and Carol Bettie; five grandchildren: Brandy, Chad, Christopher, Justin, and Brandon; two great-grandchildren; four brothers: Kenneth Coffie and wife, Ginette, Estil Coffie, Charles Coffie, and Paul Coffie; one sister-in-law: Betty Coffey; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant son: Randy; his father: William "Bill" Coffie; his mother: Bessie Lockner Coffie; three brothers: Sam "SJ" Coffie, Billy Coffie, and Henry Coffie; and one sister: Louise Garland.
A brief memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, Highway 107, Chuckey.
