Lavada Malone Smith, 85, of the Tusculum community, passed away Friday at Wellington Place of Greeneville.
She was a member of Liberty Free Will Baptist Church.
Mrs. Smith had worked at Magnavox, The Fabric Shop, and Home Interiors.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: JoAnn and Henry Mathes of Chuckey; a son and daughter-in-law: Jeffrey and Renee Smith of the Cross Anchor community; her grandchildren: Danny Mathes, Cody Smith, Rhonda Darnell, LeAnn Dalton, and Brandy Kelton; great-grandchildren: Danielle and Stephanie Mathes, Mark Allen and Bryson Darnell, Holden Ray Dalton, and Emily Brown; and a brother: Bobby Joe Malone.
She was preceded in death by her husband: the Rev. Homer Ray Smith; a daughter: Barbara Jean Hearing; her parents: Harvey Malone and Julia Malone Brown; a brother: Norman Malone; and two sisters: Ruth Gass and Elizabeth Wiley.
The family will receive friends from 1-4 p.m. Sunday at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service, Afton Chapel, with the funeral service following at 4 p.m. The Rev. John Buchanan and the Rev. Brandon Broyles will officiate.
Interment will be in GraceLand Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Mark Darnell, Chad Dalton, Cody Smith, Danny Mathes, and Johnny Mac Brown.
