Carl C. Williams, 78, of Chuckey, formerly of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Saturday at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center at Mountain Home.
He was a retired brick mason.
Mr. Williams was a member of the Elbert Kinser Detachment of the Marine Corps League and of the Moose Lodge No. 692.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Judith Williams, and his son, Tim Williams.
Survivors include his granddaughter and husband: Christy and Tracy Lane of Chuckey; great-granddaughters: Hailey and Hannah Painter of Chuckey; sister: Angeline Ottinger of Greeneville; brothers: Tony Williams of Greeneville and Frank Williams Jr. of Sulphur, La.; a special friend: Al Hauser of Chuckey; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will meet at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Thursday to go in procession to Andrew Johnson National Cemetery for a 2 p.m. committal service. The Rev. Dolphus Cutshaw will officiate.
