Rex Oster

Died: Feb. 8, 2013

Rex Oster, a loving husband, caring father, and child of God, went to be with the Lord Friday.

He loved life, his family, sports and the outdoors.

Strong and compassionate, fair, patient, and righteous, he was a pillar of strength and guidance for his wife, children and staff.

Rex is survived by his wife: Shari; children: Jackson (20) and Taryn (12); parents: Betty and Allen Oster; brother: DonL Oster and his wife, Sonya, and two nephews: Benjamin and Jake; his grandmother: Eva Goodfellow; Shari's parents: Howard and Sharon Rice; brother-in-law: John Rice and his wife, Sarah, and children Suzanna, Leslie, and Jake; and other extended family and close friends.

No formal services will be held.

Condolences may be sent to 650 Kinser Park Lane, Greeneville, TN 37743.

His legacy is one of faith, continuance, and perseverance: "When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight.

"I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there. I did not die."
