Charlsie Pearl Phillips, 90, of Crockett Lane, Greeneville, passed away Friday at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Phillips retired from Howard Brothers.
She was a member of Bridge's Chapel Church of God, attending as long as her health permitted.
Survivors include a son: Robert Davis of Kennewick, Wash.; a special great-niece and caregiver: Cindi Shipley of Chuckey; her goddaughter: Evelyn Simpson and husband, Jerry, of Illinois; grandsons and wives: Richard and Ruby Davis and Steven and Kristen Davis of Washington, Chris and Sandie Davis of Idaho, and David Ray and Jessica Vandiver of Greeneville; granddaughters: Scarlett Vandiver and Crystal Vandiver of Greeneville; great-grandchildren: Christopher Davis of Alaska, Ashley Davis of Washington, Cori Davis of California, Taylor Davis of Idaho, Tanner Davis and Cooper Davis of Washington, and Jada Vandiver of Greeneville; a sister: Dorothy Waddell Ripley of Chuckey; a brother-in-law: Everett Phillips and wife, Velma; five sisters-in-law: Wilma Harmon, Winnie Lou Doyle, Veldena Aldridge, and Barbara Hensley, all of Greeneville, and Katheryn Myers of Illinois; a special friend: Margaret Tullock of Greeneville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Minnie Hensley Davis and was preceded in death by her husband: Hartsell Phillips; daughter: Inis Davis Gray; son: David Vandiver; brothers: Vernie Hensley, Alvin Davis, and Roy Davis; and sisters: Connie Darnell and Bonnie Lamb.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with interment in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. The Rev. Frankie Isley and Rev. John McKee will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Charles Davis, Jimmy Waddell, David Ray Vandiver, Brian Darnell, Lowell Hensley and Jerry Simpson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ric Davis, Chris Davis, Steven Davis, Dr. Charles Montgomery and nurse, Dana Myers.
The family expressed special thanks to the staff of Amedisys Home Health and to the staff of 4-West and ICU at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.
