James William "J.W." Fox, 63, of House Road, Greeneville, passed away Tuesday at his home.
He was a former employee with Hargett Telephone.
In his later years, he was a horticulturist with Paradise Plants.
Mr. Fox was a member of Sunnyside United Methodist Church.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the American Legion Post No. 2000.
Survivors include his mother: Barbara Fox of the home; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Lisa and Sonny Miller of Midway, Brenda and William Dunbar of Greeneville, and Tammy and Porter Crittenden of Whitesburg; several nieces and nephews: Phillip Nelson, Stevette Yokley, Ronda Penley, William Dunbar, Randy Dunbar, and Susie Hensley; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and his special friends: Valisha Howlett, Bill and Stephanie Norton, Mike and Nellie Barham, Wanda and Roy Norton, Tommie Southerland, David and Donna Brockwell, and Allen Nelson.
He was preceded in death by his father: Maurice Fox; brother: Paul Fox; sister: Sally Mae Fox; and grandparents: Edgar and Carrie Fox and Coy and Sally Hinkle.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Saturday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Andrew Johnson National Cemetery. The Rev. Martha Beamer will officiate.
The Greene County Honor Guard and the Tennessee National Guard will conduct a military graveside service.
Family and friends will meet at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
