Died: Feb. 18, 2013

Lucian Joseph Price, 51, of Acworth, Ga., formerly of Greeneville, passed away Monday.

Mr. Price was born in New York. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a tech sergeant after 20 years of service. He served as a recruiter, a computer systems operations craftsman, and a material storage and distribution journeyman while serving in the Air Force.

He also served in the Gulf War.

Mr. Price was a Christian.

He is survived by his daughter: Jacquelyn Price of Acworth; three sons: Joseph (Sandy) Price of Columbia, S.C., Michael Price of Woodstock, Ga., and Adam (Heather) Price of Acworth; seven grandchildren; his parents: William H. and Barbara J. Price of Greeneville; four sisters: Mary Waters of Oak Harbor, Wash., and Jeanne Ripley, Theresa Cox, and Margaret Ayers of Greeneville; five brothers: William Price of Gray, Bruce Price of Tulsa, Okla., David Price of Knoxville, Richard Price of Acworth, and John Price of Greeneville; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter: Crystal Price; and two sisters: Tyrell Price and Katherine Price.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. today at Collins Funeral Home, 4947 N. Main St., Acworth.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday morning in the funeral home chapel. Chaplain Keith Guyton will officiate.

Burial will follow at 1 p.m. in the Georgia National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Amedisys Hospice Care of Cartersville, 12 Felton Place, Suite B, Cartersville, GA 30120.
