Mabel Mitchell Fullen

Died: Feb. 20, 2013

Mabel Mitchell Fullen, 92, of the Fairview community, passed away Wednesday at Durham-Hensley Health and Rehabilitation in Chuckey.

She was a member of Fairview Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post No. 64.

Mrs. Fullen was preceded in death by her parents: G.E. and Nana May Creasman Mitchell; husband: James Fullen; daughter: Marlene Dean; son: David Fullen; son-in-law: Terry Dean; brother: Charles Albert Mitchell; and sisters: Edith Feezell, Geneva Feezell, and Lillie Keasling.

Survivors include a grandson: Joshua W. Dean; and nieces and nephews: Phyllis and Clyde Payne of the Fairview community, Ann Dunn and Fred Simpson of the Ottway community, and Evelyn Cooter of Greeneville.

The family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m. today at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service, downtown, with the funeral service following at 7 p.m. in the chapel. The Rev. Ronnie Duncan will officiate.

A committal service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Fairview CP Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Clyde Payne, Martin Malone, Thomas Payne, John Roller, Fred Simpson, and Joshua W. Dean.
