Died: March 4, 2013

Eva L. Laws, 94, of Greeneville, passed away Monday at Signature HealthCARE of Greeneville.

Mrs. Laws was member First Free Will Baptist Church and attended as long as her health permitted.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Horace Laws; an infant daughter; parents: Charlie and Lily Swatzell; sister: Jessie Swatzell; and two brothers: Lyle Swatzell and an infant brother.

Survivors include four nieces and one nephew of Knoxville; a nephew and special caregiver and his spouse: the Rev. Gene and Phyllis Swatzell; great-nieces and great-nephews: Cynthia and Steven Ball, Tina and Greg Morrow, and Ricky and Angela Swatzell; several great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; and a special friend: Nellie Nelson.

The family expressed special thanks to Signature HealthCARE and Caris Healthcare.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. today at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service, downtown.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the downtown chapel. The Rev. Gene Swatzell will officiate.

Interment will follow in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Greg Morrow, Ricky Swatzell, Justin Ball, Steven Ball, Brandon Garber, and Walter Ball.

Honorary pallbearers will be the congregation and pastor of First FWB Church.
