L. Ruth Strange

Died: March 3, 2013

KNOXVILLE -- L. Ruth Strange, age 87, of Greeneville, went to be with the Lord Sunday.

She was a member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church. She loved being in church and helping others through various charities.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Walter L. Strange Jr.; daughter: Pamela Sue Strange; parents: Elmer K. and Tennie E. (Gray) Alexander; sister: Bea Alexander; and brothers: Charles and Col. Don Alexander.

Survivors include sons: Gary and Larry Strange; and grandchildren: Larry, Heather, and Jordan Strange.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Thursday at Highland Memorial Funeral Home, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919.

A graveside service will follow immediately at 3 p.m. in the Highland Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Walter A. Isley officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The United Way of Greater Knoxville, 1301 Hannah Ave., Knoxville, TN 37921.
