Doug Hipps, 54, of Main Street, Mosheim, passed away Tuesday at his home.

Mr. Hipps was disabled.

He never met a stranger and was known for his constant smile. He will be sadly missed.

Survivors include his son: Nathan Church; parents: Eugene and Aline Hipps; two brothers: Mike Hipps and Denzil Reaves; sister: Sandra Hipps; his special cousins: Jody Hughes, Mary Ann Monk, and JoAnn Hughes; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with interment in Mosheim Central Cemetery. The Rev. Richard Long will officiate.

Family and friends will be pallbearers.
