Wayne B. Brown

Died: March 9, 2013

Wayne B. Brown, 83, of the Cross Anchor community, passed away Saturday at his home.

He was a retired carpenter and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Mr. Brown was a faithful member of Cross Anchor Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife: Mary Ruth Brown; son and daughter-in-law: Michael and Rhonda Brown; grandchild: Hollie Yates; two very special great-grandchildren: Eli Yates and Sarah Yates; brother and sister-in-law: Gary and Nancy Brown; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Jim and Geraldine Pierce, Betty Taylor, Madge Britton, and Paul Pierce of Michigan; aunts and uncles: Doyle and Patricia Brown, Mary Ruth Malone, and John Britton of Florida; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

He was the son of the late Luke and Sue Brown and was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Gray.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. today at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 8 p.m.. in the chapel. The Rev. Sam Smith will officiate.

Family and friends will meet at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home to go in procession to Cross Anchor Cemetery for an 11 a.m. committal service.

Pallbearers will be Roger Brown, Mike Hopson, Randy Pierce, Ronald Jones, Dale Jones, Joe Jones, Freddy Simpson, Jeff Williams, and Terry Britton.
