Died: March 9, 2013

Johnnie M. Devoti, 80, of Greeneville, passed away Saturday at Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

He retired from Walmart.

Mr. Devoti was a member of Hill Street Church of God.

Survivors include his wife of 13 years: Clara; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Jeffrey Devoti and David and Mandy Shipley; daughter: Debra Renner; stepson and his wife: Charles and Vicki Shipley; seven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister: Rosalee Green of Erwin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was the son of the late John and Addie Devoti and was preceded in death by a son, Phillip E. Devoti; five sisters; and two brothers.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 8 p.m. in the chapel. The Rev. Jerry Feathers will officiate.

Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday to in procession to Burnette's Chapel Cemetery for an 11 a.m. committal service.

Pallbearers will be Stacy Hensley, John Harris, Phil Mays, Chet Carmack, Larry Garber, and Jon Eiscamp.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Rufus Breckenridge and staff and the staff of the ICU at the VA.
