FALL BRANCH -- Juanita Paxton Good, 98, of Fall Branch, went to be with the Lord Tuesday morning at Holston Manor.
She was the daughter of James and Maude Farner Paxton.
Juanita was born in Mosheim, moving to Morristown at a young age, where she attended Rose School.
When she was 13 years of age she moved to Greeneville, where she attended Roby School and Greeneville High School.
She moved to Dayton, Ohio, where she lived until she was married. Juanita spent the remainder of her life in Tennessee.
She was a member of Sullivan Baptist Church in Kingsport. Juanita taught Sunday School most of her life and was active in all church committees and activities as long as she was able to attend.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy D. Good; son: Roy Good Jr.; daughter: Helen Good; two sisters: Viva Hayes and Hazel Reynolds; and brothers: Roy Paxton, Phillip Paxton, and Bill Paxton.
She is survived by nieces: Mary Royce of Florida, Janet Mahraum of Iowa, Bobbie Shaw of Greeneville, and Wanda Bragg of Kingsport, who were her caregivers and precious friends during the last years of her life; and five nephews: Kenneth Paxton of Alcoa, Ronald Paxton of Seattle, Wash., Mike Paxton of Nashville, Jack Hayes of Chuckey, and Bob Paxton of Nashville.
A family graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Bethesda Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Strong officiating.
