Herminio Ramos Robles, 72, of Greeneville, passed away Tuesday at Durham-Hensley Health and Rehab, Chuckey.
He was born in Puerto Rico. He came to Greeneville in 1987, and made it his home.
Mr. Robles attended mechanic school in New York and retired from Tuscarora in Greeneville.
He loved working on vehicles and never met a stranger.
He was a loving father and grandfather, who adored his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herminio Robles; cousin, Nini; and best friend, Eddie Laracuenta.
He is survived by his mother: Adela Ramos; sister: Dora Robles and husband, Ramon Rodriguez; his sons: Roberto Robles, David Robles and his wife, Jennifer, and Jonathan Robles and his wife, Danielle; his daughter: Jessica Harris her husband, Jamie; his grandchildren: Thomas, Seth, Breanna, Hayden, Dustin, and Liana; his former wife and friend, Tammy Hicks and her boyfriend, Robert Reynolds; his brother-in-law: Ramon Rodriguez; his nieces: Betty Rodriguez and her husband, Jose Jones, and their children: Sheila Lopez, Miquel Lopez and Rebecca Jones; and Nancy Rodriguez and her husband, Eric Soto, and their children: Eric K. Soto, Sharon Soto, Taysha Soto, and Derick Soto; his nephew: Raymond Rodriguez, and his children: Raymond G. Rodriguez and Korallys Rodriguez; cousins: Cheo and Pellin; and a close friend: Henry Velazquez.
The family expressed a special "Thank You" to the staff of Durham-Hensley Nursing Home, Smoky Mountain Hospice Care, and Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service.
The family will be holding a small service at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Vale Cumberland Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Gene Swatzell will officiate.
