Montie Carter Scott

Died: March 17, 2013

Montie Carter (Branch) Scott, age 85, of West Church Street, Greeneville, passed away Sunday evening at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.

She was a homemaker and the widow of Harold E. Scott.

Mrs. Scott was a member of Hardin's Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one son: Kevin Scott; three grandchildren: Patrick Beard, Machea Scott, and Tierra Scott; three great-grandchildren: Mason Scott, Austin Beard, and Tyler Beard; and a special niece: Elizabeth Waldrop.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mitzi K. Beard.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. The Rev. Gerald Rudd will officiate. Private interment will be in Andrew Johnson National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Hope, Lynn Hope, Eddie Hope, Scott Spears, Al DiRisio, and Jim Miller.
