Died: April 14, 2013

Carl Good Jr., 75, of Greeneville, passed away Sunday at his home.

He attended New Haven Church and First Church of God as long as his health permitted.

"Daddy" loved to fish. His favorite catch was a catfish and his favorite fish to eat. He loved teaching his girls to fish but didn't like it for one of them to skunk him.

He was a hard worker and a loving husband and father. When we told him "I love you," he would always say "Are you sure?" At family meals, he would always say "Good groceries, Mama."

He loved the Lord and "good ole gospel music."

He was the owner of Carl Good Jr. Plaster and Stucco.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years: Betty Good; his daughters and sons-in-law: Betty Ann and Paul Foulks and Teresa and David Dyke, all of Greeneville, Lisa Peters of Gatlinburg, Josephine Wampler of Greeneville, Christine Cogburn of Georgia, Kathy and Ricky Haynes of Greeneville, and Wanda and Russ Younger and Carla and Tom Conners, all of Florida; a son: Tim Cogburn of the home; his grandchildren: Jeffery Cogburn, Kara Lamb, Cory Lamb, Miranda Knight, Zackary Knight, Dinnia Foulks, Carlie Foulks, Lisa Younger, Lena Younger, Linsey Cogburn, Jessica Cogburn, Terry Donald Turner, Heather Turner, Kevin Haynes, David Haynes, Lisa Haynes, and Steve Haynes; a sister: Flora Aiken of Knoxville; and a brother: David and Bernice Good of Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by two sons: Jeffery Alan Cogburn and Eddie Cogburn; a son-in-law: Carrel Lee Wampler; two sisters: Jan Runion and Wanda Turner; two brothers: Donald Good and Billy Good; a grandson: Eric Wampler; and his parents: George Carl Good and Pollie Ann Jeffers.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service, downtown.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the downtown chapel with interment in Mount Hebron Cemetery. The Rev. Gerald Rudd and the Rev. Stephen Aiken will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Jeffery Cogburn, Paul Foulks, Eddie Gosnell, Pete Loller, Eric Good, and Brent Good.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Richard Aasheim and his nurse ,Phyllis, Jesse Malone, the nurses and staff of Amedisys Hospice, the nursing staff of Takoma Hospital third floor, and the staff of Atchley's Pharmacy.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Northeast Tennessee Chapter, Alzheimer's Association, 207 N. Boone St., Suite 1500, Johnson City, TN 37604.
