Died: April 15, 2013

Virginia "Jenny" Carlyle, 79, of Greeneville, passed away Monday at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Survivors include her husband: Robert Carlyle; a daughter and son-in-law: Betty and Clifford Crocker of South Carolina; a son and daughter-in-law: Danny and Diana Carlyle of Afton; six grandchildren: Tim and Rosanna Walker and Brent and Rachel Haller, all of South Carolina, Dustin and Richelle Reaves, Dennis and Kim Tompkins and Jessica Tompkins of Greeneville, and Jeremy Crocker of Ohio; 14 great-grandchildren: Calob Reaves, Cole Reaves, Cory Reaves, Chelsey Walker, Christian Walker, Caroline Walker, Braeden Haller, Avery Haller, Lucas Haller, Colton Tompkins, Brayden Tompkins, Caleb Renner, Kayla Renner, and Kevin Crocker; and a sister: Barbara Sexton of Chuckey.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father: Leonard and Delma Ottinger of Goodwater; a sister: Wanda Ottinger; and a brother: Edward Ottinger.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the downtown chapel of Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service with interment in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. The Rev. Dennis Renner will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Tompkins, Dustin Reaves, Bud Carlyle, Bill Carlyle, Randy Moore, and Kenny Shockley.

There will be no formal visitation.
