Died: April 13, 2013

Marguerite W. Harmon, 95, widow of Robert W. Harmon, passed away Saturday at the Presbyterian Home in Summerville, S.C.

Marguerite was born Oct. 15, 1917, in Greene County, and was a daughter of Clara Mae and James Baxter "Jim" Woolsey.

She is survived and will be missed by her son: Robert W. Harmon of Summerville; her daughter: Patricia A. Ryan and husband, Edward, of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; her granddaughter: Linda M. Crawford and husband, Scott, of San Francisco, Calif.; grandson: Michael J. Ryan and wife, Heather, and great-grandchildren: Claire Margaret, Caroline Elizabeth, and Patrick Joseph Ryan, all of Mount Pleasant; and her special nieces and nephews: James "Jimmy" Carter, Betty McNeese, Carole Miller, Barbara Southerland, Douglas Woolsey, and Roger Woolsey.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Wanell Carter, and brother, James B. "J.B." Woolsey Jr.

Marguerite moved to Falls Church, Va., in 1940, where she retired from the Federal Government Department of Transportation.

She enjoyed sewing, gardening, painting and bridge.

In 1999, she moved to Summerville to be closer to family.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon Friday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home, with funeral services to follow in the funeral home chapel at noon. The Rev. Nathan Reynolds will officiate.

Graveside services will follow the service in Andrew Johnson National Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Carter, Doug Woolsey, Roger Woolsey, Jerome Woolsey, Tommy Woolsey, Bill Woolsey, and R.T. Southerland.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Odyssey Hospice, 5965 Core Ave., Suite 603, North Charleston, SC 29406.
