Died: April 16, 2013

Weigela Ann Carroll, age 68, of Snapps Ferry Road, Afton, passed away Tuesday at Durham Hensley Health and Rehabilitation, Chuckey. She worked in the cafeteria at Highland Elementary School for many years. She also worked at the federal courthouse in the housekeeping department.

Mrs. Carroll was a Member of Fairview Baptist Church in Huntsville (TN) and attended Fairview Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Afton.

She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law: Lisa and Mark Davis of Ringgold, Ga., and Carla Love of Greeneville; four grandchildren: Brooke Love, Brennan Love, Riley Branch, and Kaylee Davis; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Eva Lowe and Debbie Boshears both of Knoxville, and Mildred and Wayne Botts of Huntsville; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Hildred and Sue Boshears and Dennis and Debbie Boshears; and sister-in-law: Mae Boshears, all of Huntsville; several nieces and nephews; and special friends: Jeannie Swift, Barbara Violette, Gayleen Kelley, Sandy Seaton, Margaret Ricker, Betty McCracken, and Bobby Cutshall and family.

The family extends a special thanks to the entire staff at Durham-Hensley for how they went above and beyond in their care for Mrs. Carroll.

She was preceded in death by husband: Carl Carroll; her parents: Robert and Hazel Boshears; brothers: Jimmy and Bobby Boshears; and sister-in-law Wilma Boshears.

The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at Fairview Cumberland Presbyterian Church on Snapps Ferry Road. The funeral services will follow visitation at 2 p.m. at the church.

The Rev. Ronnie Duncan will officiate.

Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 508 Princeton Rd., Suite 102, Johnson City, TN 37601.

Doughty-Stevens is in charge of arrangements.
