Helen Pridemore Morgan

Died: April 22, 2013

Helen Pridemore Morgan, 64, of the Chuckey community, passed away Monday evening at Takoma Regional Hospital.

She was born in Greene County.

Mrs. Morgan was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Limestone, where she attended as long as her health permitted.

Her greatest achievement was being a mother and a grandmother.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Anderson and Melissa Morgan of Chuckey and Charles "Buster" and Carla Morgan of Limestone; a grandson and wife: Charles "Chuck" and Caitlyn Morgan; a grandson: Chase Morgan; one granddaughter: Courtney Casey; one great-grandson: Christopher Morgan; seven brothers and sisters-in-law: George W. and Kitty Pridemore of Livingston, Ky., Grover and Lucille Pridemore, John and Sylvia Pridemore, Franklin Pridemore, Don Pridemore, and Kenneth and Doris Pridemore, all of Greeneville, and Paul Pridemore of Morristown; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Martha Ruth Jones and Georgia and Ronald Hopson, all of Greeneville; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the daughter of the late Dan H. and Laura Pridemore and was preceded in death by her husband: Charles Mark Morgan; two brothers: Junior and James Pridemore; and two sisters: Pearl Gass and Dorothy Marie Cox.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Doughty- Stevens Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Charles Morgan will officiate.

Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home to go in procession to GraceLand Memorial Gardens for an 11:30 a.m. committal service.

Pallbearers will be Don Pridemore, Joseph Easter, Doug Hopson, Johnny Hopson, Chuck Morgan, Chase Morgan, and Danny Cox
