Died: May 5, 2013

JONESBOROUGH -- James D. Street, age 86, Jonesborough, passed away Sunday at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Mr. Street was a native of Washington County and son of the late Fannie Cleo (Hensley) and James D. Street Sr.

He was a member of the Church of Nazarene.

Mr. Street retried from Caterpillar as a machine operator.

Survivors include his wife: Velma Jeffers Street of Jonesborough; sons and daughters-in-law: A. David and Louise Street of Kentucky, and Dan and Judy Street and Gary and Carol Street, all of Illinois; one daughter and son-in-law: Kathy and Richard Wright of Jonesborough; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law: Lucille and Albert Ayers, Ruth and David Wise, and Amy Collins; and two brothers and a sister-in-law: Ray Street and Dean and Carol Street.

Mr. Street was preceded in death by a son: Robert D. Street; and a sister and two brothers-in-law: Wanda and Elmer Dykes and Bill Collins.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home in Jonesborough.

Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday at Oakland Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. David Street, Pastor Parker Street and the Rev. Andrew Street officiating.

Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery.

A dinner will be held in the church fellowship hall following the service.

Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
