Died: May 20, 2013

Sarah Anna Esh, 39, was carried by the angels Monday to Heaven at the home of her sister, Martha (Dave) Schwartz, and family of Frankfort following a six-month battle with cancer.

She was born May 23, 1973, to Daniel and Caroline (Stoltzfus) Esh in Lancaster, Pa.

She was a faithful member of the Greene County Mennonite Church. She taught school there a number of years and spent four years as a missionary in Kenya, Africa.

She was also a friendly worker at Mountain View Bulk Foods and later at Yoder's Country Market.

She is survived by her parents of Wallingford, Ky.; three sisters: Martha (David) Schwartz and Susan (Moses) Schwartz, all of Frankfort, and Ada Ruth (Tony) Suarez of Rutherford; four brothers: Ervin (Esther) Esh of Harrodsburg, Ky., Stephen (Martha) Esh of Dickson, Leon (Nancy) Esh of Wallingford, and Alvin (Sue) Esh of Aroda, Va.

She is also survived by paternal grandmother, Susie Esh, of Ronks, Pa., and dearly loved by 37 nieces and nephews, two great-nephews, and one great-niece.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Melvin and Fannie Stoltzfus; paternal grandfather, Jacob Esh; and nephew, Bryan Glen Suarez.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Greene County Mennonite Church, 3625 Chuckey Pike, Chuckey, TN 37641, with burial in the church cemetery.

Calling hours will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
