She was a member of United Baptist Church.

Violet was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished her family, always making them laugh and smile. She loved to go places with her family.

She was an avid walker, loved to camp, can food, and cook for her family and friends. She made the best peanut butter fudge and shared it with them.

Cobble; her grandchildren and their spouses: Gwen and Jeff Stanley, Sherry and Jeff Sowers, Jason and Jennifer Barham, and Daniel and Kristen Cooke; her stepgranddaughter and her husband: Ashley and Lee Rossman; her great-grandchildren: Zach Cobble, Nicklas Stanley, Alex Stanley, Abbey Mysinger, Braden Barham, Blake Sowers, and Cameron Sowers; her stepgreat-granddaughter: Vivian Rossman; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was the daughter of the late O.K. and Bertha Morelock and was preceded in death by her daughter, Phyllis Cobble; four sisters; and five brothers.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 8 p.m. in the chapel. The Rev. Nick Bailey will officiate.

A committal service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
