Deborah Bingham Ward

Died: June 14, 2013

Deborah Bingham Ward, age 58, passed away Friday at her home in Eidson.

She was born Sept. 11, 1954, to Shirley Sentell Bingham and the late Turner Bingham, in Brevard, N.C.

Deb was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved her family and friends dearly.

Deb worked as a veterinarian technician for more than 25 years. Most of her service in animal care was at Southgate Veterinary Clinic in Thomasville, N.C. She loved caring for all animals large and small, and always went above and beyond to provide for their health care needs.

Deb was loved and respected by all who knew her. She retired in 2001 due to health reasons.

Survivors include her husband of 27 years: Michael Ward (SFC retired); mother: Shirley Sentell Brown of Trinity, N.C.; daughter: Holly Lackey and her husband, Ryan; granddaughter: Ally Houston; grandson: Kenney Houston of Ramseur, N.C.; sister: Wanda Stutts and her husband, Steven, of Thomasville; and a nephew: Craig Stutts of Raleigh, N.C.

She was preceded in death by her son: Kenney Bingham Brown; father: Turner Bingham; and stepfather: Julian W. Brown.

The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at English Road Baptist Church, 1111 English Road, High Point, N.C., with a memorial service to follow at 1:15 p.m., for those who wish to attend.

Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
