Died: June 18, 2013

Holson McIntosh Jr., age 86, of Greeneville, a resident of Life Care Center of Greeneville, passed away Tuesday afternoon at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.

He was a farmer, carpenter, and veteran of World War II.

Survivors include two sisters and brothers-in-law: Wanda and Jay Hugh Jennings and Betty and Ross Lynn Jennings; two brothers: James Alexander McIntosh and Ray McIntosh; a niece, who was like a sister: Kathy Dean and her husband, Roy; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother: Emma Shelton McIntosh; father and stepmother: Holson McIntosh Sr. and Rena McIntosh; three brothers: Bradford, Allen, and Reed McIntosh; and one sister: Nina Adamski.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Buster Shelton and the Rev. Jay Hugh Jennings will officiate.

Interment will follow in Harris Memorial Cemetery. The Greene County Honor Guard and the Tennessee National Guard will conduct military graveside services.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Life Care Center of Greeneville.
