Died: June 17, 2013

Wiley Hoover Morgan, 57, of Greeneville, passed away Monday afternoon at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport.

He was a son of the late Fonnie and Mildred Hoover Morgan. He was a 1974 graduate of Greeneville High School.

He was a member of Hardins Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sisters: Suzanne "Suzy" Morrison, and her husband, Wayne Morrison, whom he loved as brother, and Janice Lucille Morgan, all of Chuckey; a half-sister: Marie Ricker of Greeneville; a special nephew: Buddy Morgan and his wife, Jeannie; special niece: Sunshine Broyles and her husband, Chuck; special great-nephew: Holdyn Broyles; special great-niece: Lily Broyles; nephews: Mike Ricker of Greeneville, and Van and Stan Lindsey of Florida; niece: Candice Morgan Loyd of Hixson; aunts and uncles: Gene Caroll Williams, Ola Hoover, Ted and Charlotte Hoover, and Harris and Mary Hoover; several cousins; and his special friends: Pam Surratt, Doug Cogburn and family, Louise Mullins, his neighbors at Crockett Apartments, and numerous others.

He was preceded in death by a brother: F.S. Morgan Jr.; a half-brother: Donald Morgan; and a half-sister: Anna Ruth Lindsey.

It was Wiley's wish that his body be donated to Quillen College of Medicine for medical research.

Memorial services will be held on June 28 at 7 p.m. at Hardins Chapel United Methodist Church. Dan Duggar, Randy Davenport, and Wade McAmis will officiate.

The family extended special thanks to the staff of Wellmont Hospice at Holston Valley Medical Center.

Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
