Anna Rea Morgan Gentry

Died: June 26, 2013

Anna Rea Morgan Gentry, 70, of the Mohawk community, went to be with the Lord Wednesday at Holston Valley Regional Medical Center in Kingsport with her family by her side.

She was a Certified Nursing Assistant, dedicating 32 years of her life to caring for others.

Along with spending time with her friends and family, Anna loved gardening, reading her Bible, and traveling with her late husband, Warner.

Those left to cherish her memory are her seven children: Ronald Eugene Fannin of Huntington, W.Va., Clinton James (Sherry) Fannin of North Carolina, Tammy Jo (Mike) Landes of Huntington, Anna Jean (Mike) Harris of Charleston, W.Va., Samatha Marie Wheatley, Marshall (Danielle) Lester, and Brian Scott (Leah) Gentry, with whom she made her home; 10 stepchildren: Irvin, Warner Jr., and Sarge Gentry, Brenda Couch, Debbie Derry, Barbara White, Patty Gentry, Pam Taylor, Liz Cutshaw, and Teresa Robinette; a brother: Alfred (Patricia) Morgan of Kentucky; three sisters: Violet (Gary) Jarrell of Peytona, W.Va., Mary Rose (Clyde) Craddock of Henlawson, W.Va., and Debra (Garnet) Marsh of Man, W.Va.; special friends: Jerry Graham, Flo Dean, Tom Cody, Brittany Pruchnic, Ann Presley, and Louise Everhart; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 4-5 p.m. today at Harris Memorial Church, preceding the funeral service at 5 p.m.

The Rev. Danny Pitts will officiate.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Irvin Gentry, Roger White, Brian Gentry, A.J. Miller, and Marshall Lester.

Honorary pallbearers will be Shane Dean, Ryan Dickerson, Chris McAmis, and Jeremy Alvelo.
