Died: July 27, 2013

Robert Fellers, age 81, of Afton, the Middle Creek community, passed away Saturday evening at his home with his family and friends by his side.

He was a Christian, and he loved the Lord very much.

Mr. Fellers was a construction worker, mainly working in floor installation.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years: Carla Fellers; sons: Robert Glenn Fellers and wife, Jo, of South Carolina, Jimmy, Steve, and Phillip Fellers, Richard Barham and wife, Vacheena Burns, and Lynn Campbell and wife, Sonia, all of Greeneville; a daughter: Sharon Cutshaw and husband, Danny, a stepdaughter: Samantha Starnes and husband, Randy, and a sister: Pauline Runion, all of Greeneville; his grandchildren: Waylon Fellers of South Carolina, Thomas Fellers of Virginia, and Sherrie Ashby, Daniel Cutshaw, Jacob and Elija Fellers, Samuel Fellers, Jordon Honeycutt, Amanda Fellers, and Megan Fellers, all of Greeneville; several great-grandchildren. He had two special pets: Jasmine and Buddy.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Horace and Mary Fellers; a son: Tommy Fellers; sisters: Reba Seaton and Louise Walters; and brothers: Clark, Ted, Howard, and Delbert Fellers, all of Greeneville.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow visitation at 8 p.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Gene Swatzell and Pastor Arnold Schnell will officiate.

Family and friends will meet at Doughty-Stevens at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday to go in procession to Union Chapel Cemetery for the 10 a.m. committal service.

Pallbearers will be Waylon Fellers, David Fellers, Sam Fellers, Sammy Fellers, and Lynn Campbell.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to Smoky Mountain Hospice staff and to special friends: Dr. Kathryn Gray, Francis Darnell, Peggy Lamb, Angie Lamb and Wayne See.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greeneville-Greene County Humane Society.
