Died: July 30, 2013

Carrie B. Lowery, 87, of Holston Drive, Mosheim, passed away Tuesday at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.

She retired from Mosheim Elementary School, where she was a cook.

Mrs. Lowery was a member of Mosheim Central United Methodist Church.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who had a beautiful smile that we will sadly miss.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Judy and Terry Renner of Mosheim; a granddaughter and her husband: Charity and Michael Ramsey of St. Clair; a great-granddaughter and her husband: Courtney and Rusty Turner of Russellville; a stepgranddaughter and her husband: Shanna and Scott Howard of Aiken, S.C.; one brother: Gene Collins of North Carolina; several nieces and nephews; and her special friends and neighbors: Pat and David Starnes and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Albert B. Lowery; her parents: Bertie and Pat Collins; and several brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 8 p.m. in the chapel. The Rev. Lew Kizer and the Rev. Faith Ramer will officiate.

Family and friends will meet at the funeral home Friday at noon to go in procession to Mosheim Central Cemetery for a 1 p.m. committal service.

Pallbearers will be Terry Renner, Michael Ramsey, Rusty Turner, Brandon Sams, John Daugherty, Sherman Starnes, Andy Starnes, Byron Randolph, David Starnes, and Jacob Berryhill.

Honorary pallbearers will be her nieces, nephews, and the members of Mosheim Central UM Church.

The family gave special thanks to the staff of Amedisys Home Health and Amedisys Hospice, Dr. Phillip Thwing, Dr. Charles Montgomery and staff, Dr. Mandeep Bakshi and staff, and Dr. A.K. Sen and staff.
