Died: July 31, 2013

Evelyn Hybarger, 78, of Mosheim, passed away early Wednesday morning at her home surrounded by her family.

She was a homemaker and a member of Midway United Methodist Church.

Evelyn enjoyed quilting and gardening.

She was devoted to her family and loved her husband, children, and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years: Wayne Hybarger; one daughter and son-in-law: Tammy and Tim Livingston of Mohawk; one son and daughter-in-law: Tim and Marsha Hybarger of Greeneville; three grandchildren: Isaiah Gray, and Isaac and Adam Hybarger; three sisters-in-law: Carolyn Voiles of White Pine, Louise Woody of Greeneville, and Alma Hybarger of Mosheim; one brother-in-law: Jimmy Hybarger of Greeneville; several nieces and nephews; and special friends: Jocy Dyke, Betty McAmis, and Lena Craddock.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Lonnie and Anna Belle Voiles; two sisters: Betty Voiles and Helen Paxton; and two brothers: Carl "Buster" Voiles and David Voiles.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday in the Doughty-Stevens Chapel. The Rev. Jerry Holt and the Rev. Gerald Rudd will officiate. Interment will follow in Mosheim Central Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bill Morrison, Bill Brown, Ronnie Ricker, Ronnie Seay, Chuck Stott, and Coy Hinkle.

The Hybarger family expressed their appreciation to the staff of Amedisys Hospice and Dr. Charles Montgomery for their care and support, and to their neighbors and friends for their prayers, their love, and the many acts of kindness.
