Mary Gertrude Gosnell

Died: July 29, 2013

Mary Gertrude Gosnell, 91, of Greeneville, passed away Monday at her home.

She retired from dietary department at Takoma Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Gosnell attended House of the Lord Church.

Survivors include a daughter: Billie Collins of Greeneville; two granddaughters: Teresa Collins and Hugh Alan Davis and granddaughter, Alexis, and Tonia Collins and Ken Lawrence and daughter, Kendra, all of Greeneville; her great-grandchildren: Jerritt Melton and Heather Long, and daughter, Maddi, Cody Trinkel, Sarah Nisbet, and Matthew Tester; her sisters: Lucille Humbert of the home, and Ruth Jeffers and Shelby Jones, both of Mosheim; a brother and sister-in-law: Alan and Rosetta Humbert of Mosheim; two sisters-in-law: Betty Humbert of Mosheim and Phyllis Hensley of Greeneville; her special nieces: Eva "Buttons" Rogers and Kim Tompkins; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the daughter of the late Jess and Grace Humbert and was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years: William Thomas Gosnell; brothers: Herman, Kermitt, John, Roy, and Lloyd Humbert; and brothers-in-law: Lee Jeffers, Vernon Jones, and Farley Gosnell.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Lynn Mercer will officiate.

Family and friends will meet at 1:15 p.m. Monday at the funeral home to go in procession to Andrew Johnson National Cemetery for a 2 p.m. committal service.

Pallbearers will be Jerritt Melton, Cody Trinkle, Charlie Ricker, Hugh Alan Davis, Ray Griffin, and Earl Collins .
