Died: Aug. 12, 2013

Ida Frances Franklin, 80, of Greeneville, passed away Monday at the Johnson City Medical Center.

She was a homemaker.

A loving wife for 64 1/2 years, Mrs. Franklin also loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed reading and crocheting.

Survivors include her husband: G.W. Franklin; five sons and four daughters-in-law: Garland and Linda Franklin, Bascom Franklin, Robert and Shelly Franklin, and Gerald and Tamara Franklin, all of Greeneville, and Lynn and Christy Bolton of Mosheim; six grandchildren: Tracy Franklin, Melinda Lamb, Aaron Hooper, April Hooper, Amanda Franklin, and Timmy Franklin; two great-grandchildren: Alexis Franklin and Destiny Lamb; a brother: Ivan Gillan; a special niece: Lisa McNutt; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was the daughter of the late Red and Geneva Laws Baldwin and was preceded in death by a daughter: Fanny Mae Franklin; a grandson: Chad Allen Franklin; a sister: Beatrice McNutt; a sister-in-law: Sue Gillan; and a brother-in-law: Paul McNutt.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 8 p.m. in the chapel. The Rev. Edward Haney will officiate.

A committal service will be held at 10 am Thursday in Milburnton Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family extends a special thanks to Takoma Regional Hospital and the Johnson City Medical Center.
