Bonnie B. Ellenburg Ford

Died: Aug. 11, 2013

JONESBOROUGH -- Bonnie B. Ellenburg Ford, age 89, Jonesborough, passed away Sunday at the Johnson City Medical Center.

A native of Greene County, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Lora Shelton Ellenburg and the widow of Edsel A. Ford, her loving husband who died in 1990.

Bonnie was raised in the Christian church, Shelton's Chapel, in Greene County.

She was a faithful worker in the Methodist Church for 70 years and also attended Oak Hill Baptist Church the last few years.

Survivors include three sons: Jerry Ford and wife, Patsy, Don Ford and wife, Brenda, and Larry Ford and wife, Cheryl; two daughters: Doris Ford and Carolyn Willis and husband, Johnnie; her grandsons: John Willis, Doug Willis, Wesley Ford, Brad Ayers, Randy Ford, Jeff Ford, and David Ford; her granddaughters: Kelly Fugate and Heather Housewright; her great-grandchildren: Austin Willis, Kendal Willis, Corey Ayers, Lily Ayers, Jacob Ayers, Peyton Ford, Chelsey Ford, Zachary Ford, and Ben Housewright; a sister: Alice Smith; a brother-in-law John D. Ford; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sisters: Reba Hensley, Beula Cloyd, Mary Sue Ford, and an infant, Sabra Ruth Ellenburg; her brothers: Ralph Ellenburg and Guy Ellenburg; and her sisters-in-law: Lozella Ford, Madeline Ford, and Ruth Cookenour.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 8 p.m. The Rev. Victor Wallace will officiate.

A committal service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Sulphur Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
