Died: Aug. 13, 2013

JONESBOROUGH -- Carolyn P. Kyker, age 75, of Jonesborough, passed away Tuesday at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, Ga.

Born in Elizabethton, Mrs. Kyker was a daughter of the late Joseph and Nannie Nave Proffitt, and was the widow of Robert Lee "Bob" Kyker.

She was a member of Grace Brethren Church.

Mrs. Kyker enjoyed music and was a member of Joy Maker Trio. She also enjoyed crafts.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Drema and Randy Ricker of Greeneville; one son and daughter-in-law: Roger and Torri Kyker of Tunnel Hill, Ga.; her grandchildren: Cassie Kyker, Dustin Kyker, Justin Ricker, and Joshua Ricker; a sister: Wilma Barnett; her special friends: Betty Rose Kyker and Callie Laws; and several nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home, Jonesborough, with the funeral service to follow at 8 p.m. in the chapel. Pastor Bob Skeen will officiate.

A committal service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in Grace Brethren Church Cemetery.
