Anna Avadean Cansler

Died: Aug. 22, 2013

Anna Avadean Cansler, age 90, passed away Thursday morning at Laughlin HealthCare Center.

She was a member of Hartman's Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law: June Brown and Peggy and Billy McCamey, all of Greeneville; her grandchildren: Cindy Cutshaw, Kathy Brown, and Amy and Danny Lowery; her great-grandchildren: Krista Kirkpatrick, Jaylynn Kesterson, Megan Cutshaw, Jacob Cutshaw, and Danny Lowery III; her great-great-grandchild: Nealan James Ricker; one sister: Wanda Thomason of Russellville; two brothers-in-law: Willard Cansler and Junior Cansler; two sisters-in-law: Katherine Cansler and Virginia Ward; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband: W.J. Cansler; parents: Lyle and Pearl Kesterson; one brother: Billy Kesterson; and three sisters: Verna Lee Massey, Irene Rader, and Eula May Aiken.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow visitation at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Bobby Greene will officiate.

Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.

Active and honorary pallbearers will be Jaylynn Kesterson, Jacob Cutshaw, Rickey Aiken, Terry Huff, Randy Barbee, Charles Rader, Tim Barbee, Gregg Barbee, Danny Lowery II, and Danny Lowery III.

The family expressed a special thanks to her friends at Laughlin Healthcare Center and Amedisys Hospice.
