Mary Agnes Dixon

Died: Aug. 24, 2013

Mary Agnes Dixon, 84, of Midway, passed away Saturday morning at Takoma Regional Hospital.

She was formerly employed by Sam Moore Chair Company and MECO.

She attended Mosheim Fellowship Church.

Agnes, who was a loving wife, wonderful mother, and great "mamaw," will be missed by all those who knew her.

Survivors include three sons: Randy Odell Dixon, Ralph Edward Dixon and wife, Mitzi, and Sammy Andrew Dixon, all of Midway; special grandchildren: Tammy Louise Ball, Teresa Marlene Pitts, Cindy Dixon Knight and husband, Scottie, Tammy Lynn Dixon, Dale Dixon, and Tina Robinette; seven great-grandchildren: Daniel Lynn Ball, Robert Allen Ball, Joshua Knight, Selena Knight, Tabatha LeAnn Pitts, Kaitlin Robinette, and Glen Robinette; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Aline and Gene Hipps of Mosheim and Germaine and Raymond Riggs of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years: Clifford Andrew Dixon, who died Oct. 6, 2008; her parents: Gracie and U.G. Wampler; and three brothers: Jack Wampler, Clarence Wampler, and George Wampler.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. today at Mosheim Chapel of Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Donnie Bible will officiate.

Family and friends will meet at the Mosheim Chapel at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday to go in procession to Mosheim Methodist Cemetery for a 3 p.m. committal service.

Active pallbearers will be Gary Beach, Doyle Carter, Nick Starnes, Jackie Mays, Gary Wampler and Shane Clark.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Hipps, Eugene Tarlton, and Bo Phillips.
