Died: Aug. 25, 2013

Shirley Gene Davis, 70, of Greeneville, passed away peacefully in her sleep Sunday at her home.

She was a great lady who loved everyone.

She retired from Magnavox.

In retirement, she enjoyed flowers and her pet cat.

Survivors include a daughter: Tammy Deyton and her fiancé, Wesley Watkins, both of Greeneville; three sons and a daughter-in-law: Tim and Lori Davis, Eddie Davis, and Teddie Davis, all of Greeneville; her grandchildren: Dallas Deyton, Ashley Deyton, Kyra Davis, Seth Davis, Aundra Davis, Terran White Davis, and Rachael Cutshaw; a great-grandchild: Aiden Davis, whom she dearly loved; her fiancé: Lonnie Copp of Afton; her sisters and brothers-in-law: Sudie and William Smith and Barbara and James Wilhoit, all of Greeneville; and two brothers and a sister-in-law: Tom and Marlene Nelson of Afton and Harold Nelson of New York.

She was the daughter of the late William and Gladys Norton Nelson and was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Douglas Nelson.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 8 p.m. in the chapel. The Rev. Jeff Daugherty will officiate.

A committal service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in River Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Wilhoit, Ronnie Wilhoit, Jackie Wilhoit, Dallas Deyton, Teddie Davis, and Eddie Davis.
