Brenda Sue Hughes, 54, of Maryville, formerly of Greeneville, passed away Tuesday afternoon at her home.

She was a former employee of the U.S. Postal Service and Magnavox/Five Rivers.

She attended Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church as long as her health permitted.

Survivors include her husband: John A. "Tony" Hughes; one daughter and son-in-law: Sabrina and Patrick Klepper of Knoxville; one son and daughter-in-law: Brandon and Deann Cinnamon of Bulls Gap; three grandchildren: Brayden Cinnamon, Kaylee Cinnamon, and Bria Klepper; her mother: Louise Wallace of Rogersville; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Patty and Roger Cavin of Rogersville and Debbie and Charles Cline of Morristown; two nieces; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father: Rufus Wallace; and a brother: Larry Wallace.

The family will receive friends from 12:30-3 p.m. Friday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Charles Weatherly will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Richard Hopson, David Myers, Rocky Sigmon, Sam Moore, Gary Copeland, Donnie Dye, Willis Fillers, and Bill Wilkerson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. A.K. Sen and staff, Dr. Hannah, Larry Cox, and the staff of U.T. Hospice.

The family extends a special appreciation to the Atmos Energy family and to a special "sister," Patty Dye.
