Geneva Milburn

Died: Nov. 12, 2013

Geneva Milburn, 80, of the Milburnton community, died Tuesday at Durham-Hensley Health and Rehabilitation.

She was a member of Milburnton United Methodist Church.

Geneva was a very special woman, who always loved everyone, especially her family.

She was a hard worker for her Lord and was always willing to help her church family at Milburnton United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Richard and Lee Milburn of the Milburnton community; a special companion: Harlan Miller; two granddaughters and a grandson-in-law: Allison and Jeremy Miller, and Jennifer Milburn; great-granddaughters: Mercedez Miller, Skydashia Miller, and Savannah Richards; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Garland and Betty Lou Tipton of Bowmantown, Wade and Evelyn Tipton of Fall Branch, Dean and Sharon Tipton of Milburnton, June Hensley, and Ivanell Milburn; special friends: Jody Miller, Dorothy Ramsey, Trula Dunbar, Winfred Bailey, April Muncy, and the congregation of Milburnton Church; and a special niece: Mary Milburn.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Leslie Milburn, whom she waited 26 years to see again in heaven; father and mother: Frank Richard Tipton and Hamie Tipton; and two sisters: Olive Smith and Helen Hubbard.

Special thanks to the staff at Durham-Hensley Nursing Home for the love and care they gave to her the past few years. They were a blessing to her and her family.

The family will receive friends today from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. at Jeffers Funeral and Cremation Service at Afton.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Afton Chapel.

The Rev. Vivian Franklin will officiate.

Interment will be in Milburnton Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be James Keys, Rennie Hopson, Bobby Milburn, Terrill Milburn, Steve Tipton, and Richard Tipton.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Byrd, Rick Baskette, Ronnie Baxter, and David Miller.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Milburnton Cemetery Fund.
