Mary Katherine 'Kaye' Marshall

Died: Nov. 12, 2013

HENDERSON, Ky. -- Mary Katherine "Kaye" Marshall, 71, of Henderson and formerly of Greeneville, Tenn., went to be with the Lord at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday at her home under the care of St. Anthony's Hospice.

She was a member of Henderson's First Baptist Church.

Kaye was a registered nurse and worked 17 years for the State of Tennessee Department of Human Services.

Kaye was also a graduate of Tusculum College in Tennessee with a degree in English Literature, and was an avid reader.

She enjoyed her flower garden and loved cooking for her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilma and Astor Williams.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years: Dr. Hollis Marshall; two sons: Kenneth Marshall and wife, Carin Mincemoyer, of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Kevin Hollis Marshall of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; one sister: Jean Turley and husband, Larry, of Henderson; one brother: Larry Williams of Lexington; one brother-in-law: Steve Marshall and his wife, Judy, of Owensboro; and nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel.

The Rev. Todd Linn, Ph.D., will officiate.

Visitation was held at the funeral home prior to the service.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony's Hospice or Henderson's First Baptist Church.

Kaye's family wishes to thank the staff of St. Anthony's Hospice for the exceptional care they gave Kaye and her entire family.
