Wilda Frances "Tic" Bowman Chandler

Died: Nov. 16, 2013

Wilda Frances "Tic" Bowman Chandler, 91, of Oran Road, Knoxville, formerly of the Camp Creek community died Saturday at her home.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Chandler was a member of Concord United Methodist Church in Knoxville.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and mother-in-law.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Beverly and Keith Hinkle of Knoxville; two sons and daughters-in-law: Don E. and Patricia E. Chandler of Knoxville, and Leslie J. and Julia Chandler of Fort Mill, S.C.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Willis and Barbara Bowman, and Jack and Sara Bowman, all of Greene County; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a daughter of the late Russell and Bessie Bowman and was preceded in death by her

husband: Jay C. Chandler; three sisters: Juanita Crum, Covey Woolsey and Shawn Fillers; and a brother: Don Bowman.

The family will receive friends from 6:30-8 p.m. today at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow visitation at 8 o'clock in the funeral home chapel.

The Rev. Larry Trotter will officiate.

Family and friends are asked to meet at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home to go in procession to GreeneLawn Memory Gardens for a noon committal service.
