Elizabeth Ann Gaut

Died: Nov. 19, 2013

Elizabeth Ann Gaut, 60, a lifelong resident of Tusculum, died Tuesday. She was the daughter of Margaret Gaut and the late William King Gaut Sr.

Ann was a graduate of Virginia Intermont College and The University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Her primary interest from childhood centered around horticulture and animals, which led her to establish Ann's GreeneHaus in 1982. She was involved in numerous local and regional activities surrounding that industry.

Her second love involved the Greene County Fair, which she served as a Board member.

Ann was a lifelong member of the Greeneville Cumberland Presbyterian Church, as she served in the choir, youth programs, and as an elder.

Surviving are her mother: Margaret Gaut of Tusculum; a brother: William K. Gaut Jr. and wife, Ann B. Gaut, of Charlotte, N.C.; a niece: Alison Blackwelder and husband, Andy, of Greeneville; a nephew: William King Gaut III of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; and a multitude of close friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Ann's life will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at Greeneville Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

The Rev. Jamie Lively will officiate.

Interment will be in Shiloh Cemetery at a later date.

The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service at Greeneville Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Greeneville Cumberland Presbyterian Church Organ Fund, 201 N. Main St., Greeneville, TN 37745.

Online condolences may be sent to the family at
