Died: Jan. 5, 2014

Mary D. Kirk, 81, of Greeneville, passed away Sunday at her home.

Mrs. Kirk was a homemaker.

She was a member of Lighthouse Assembly of God in Greeneville.

She volunteered as a leader visiting nursing homes and by singing and visiting the residents.

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law Karen and Chris Johnson of Greeneville, Mary Margaret Kirk of Mosheim, and Laurie and Richard Hain of Cocke County; two sons: Steven Kirk of Arizona and Roderick Kirk of Greeneville; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister: Betty McAmis of Greeneville; a special friend: Charles Huddleston; and many other special friends.

She was the daughter of the late Charles and Mildred Davis and was preceded in death by a grandson, Billy Kirk.    

The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lighthouse Assembly of God.

The funeral service will follow visitation at 2 p.m. at the church with interment in Bewley’s Chapel Cemetery. Pastor Bob Brown will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Charles Huddleston, John Michael Pitts, Roderick Kirk, Chris Johnson, Randy Johnson, and Charlie Garber.
