Died: Jan. 9, 2014

Judy Rhea Harmon, 71, of the Glenwood community, Greeneville, passed away Thursday at her home.

Mrs. Harmon retired from Magnavox after 42 years.

She was a member of First Christian Church and attended Towering Oaks Baptist Church as long as her health permitted.

She loved her flowers and her pets, "all of the cats."

Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 28 years: Charles E. Harmon Jr.; two daughters and sons-in-law: Lynda and Jerry Harmon of Bristol and Sally and Johnny Carter of Greeneville; one son: Bryan Jones; her grandchildren and spouses: Jesse and India Carter of Mosheim, Mallory Carter, Josh Jones, and Christy Jones, all of Greeneville, Hunter Jones of Ovid, Mich., and Joseph Harmon and Chloe Harmon, both of Bristol; a great-granddaughter: Riley Carter of Mosheim; her mother: Louise Jeffersof Greeneville; one sister: Sandra Fuller of Greeneville; nephews and spouses: Mark and Lisa Fuller of Hendergar, Ala., Nathan Fuller and April Fuller of Greeneville, and Spencer and Janae Fuller of New Braunfels, Texas; a niece and spouse: Kelly and Herman Rary of Jonesborough; and a special caregiver and devoted friend: Linda Smelcer.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Jeffers.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Timber Ridge Presbyterian Church with interment in the church cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Brian Wyatt will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Harmon, Johnny Carter, Jesse Carter, Nathan Fuller, Mark Fuller, Joseph Harmon, Herman Rary, and Cliff Ammons.

Family and friends are asked to meet Saturday at the church.
