Kenneth Ray 'Stoney' Burk

Died: Jan. 21, 2014

MORRISTOWN -- Kenneth Ray "Stoney" Burk, 75, of Russellville, passed away at his home Tuesday.

He retired from the U.S. Army, having served three tours in Vietnam and also served in the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his first wife: Mary E. Burk; parents: John V. and Juanita Hamilton Burk; two brothers: James H. and Richard A. Burk; and a sister: Helen J. Thorpe.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years: Texie R. Stubblefield Burk; daughter: Sandra (Jim) Heath; grandchildren: Jessica (Kevin B.) Wray, and Andrew Heath; great- grandchildren: Virginia M. Wray and Sean M. Wray; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:30-4 p.m. Saturday in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home in Morristown with the funeral service following at 4 p.m. The Rev. Kenny Cole will officiate.

A military graveside service will follow the service with interment in Hamblen Memory Gardens.

The family extended a special thanks to Amedisys Hospice for their wonderful care he received during this difficult time.
