Wallace Myers Died: Sept. 6, 2008 Wallace Myers, 80, of South Liberty Hill Road in Morristown, and formerly of Chattanooga, died Saturday at Life Care Center of Greeneville. Mr. Myers retired from Reserve Warehouse Corp. in Chattanooga. He was a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church. Mr. Myers was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. He was a 1951 graduate of Carson-Newman College, where he was a member and co-captain of the football team. Mr. Myers was a son of the late Basil and Ella Myers and was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Alexander Myers. Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law: Dwight and Beulah Myers of Greeneville; two sisters: his twin, Wanda Goodman, and Gloria Felts, both of Greeneville; his nieces and nephews: Dwight E. Myers, Daniel Myers, and Barbara Paxton, all of Greeneville, Brenda Fancher of Newport, and Alicia Jones of North Carolina; several great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews; and special friends: Don and Pansy Baughard and Orland Britton. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2 p.m. Wednesday at Kiser Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Roger Crim will officiate. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Townsend, Eddie Jordan, Howard Whaley, Charlie Paxton, Daniel Myers, Dwight E. Myers, and Jeremy Myers. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Wesley Bible Class of Mount Pleasant UM Church, the employees and former employees of Dealer Warehouse Corp. of Knoxville and Reserve Warehouse Corp. of Chattanooga.
