The Greene County Sheriff's Department is investigating a burglary Sunday night at the Shiloh Market on Jearoldstown Road in which a pickup truck was used to smash through the front wall of the building.

The burglars stole 15 rolls of lottery tickets after backing a dual-wheeled pickup truck through the front wall of the Shiloh Market at 700 Jearoldstown Road near Exit 44 of Interstate 81, according to a report filed about 11:40 p.m. Sunday by Deputy Sheriff Adam Arrington on Sunday.

The vehicle penetrated "all the way to the other side of the store building," according to the report. Also taken was a cash register drawer, which contained only a small amount of money, according to the report.

Damage to the building and merchandise inside it was estimated at more than $6,500.
